Vigil Tonight for Kid's Healthcare
Tuesday, October 16, 2007Children's healthcare advocates are holding a National Vigil tonight at 5P on Capitol Hill to support efforts by Congressional leaders to override President Bush's veto of the Child Health program. "Congress can ensure that 10 million children have hope for healthier lives and a brighter future," say advocates. The AFL-CIO is joining with SEIU, AFSCME, USAction, True Majority, PICO, MoveOn.org, Americans United for Change, Catholics United and others to mobilize working families across the country to demand that members of Congress vote to override. The vote will take place in the House later this week.
