Union City Draws Nat'l Attention

Thursday, October 11, 2007

The Union City e-zine is featured in the latest edition of the ILCA Reporter, the quarterly publication of the International Labor Communications Association. Now bringing DC labor news to over 8,000 readers every weekday, "Union City plays an important role in informing, uniting and mobilizing the local labor community," writes Korey Hartwich. "The Union City e-zine enables us to communicate instantly - at virtually no cost - with thousands of area activists," UC Managing Editor Chris Garlock told the ILCA Reporter in a story headlined "A tale of two CLCs and their innovative ways of communicating with members." "In a very real way, Union City builds the sense of community among far-flung and busy activists," Garlock told the Reporter. Also featured in the story is The PlainDealer, published monthly by the Wichita/Hutchinson Labor Federation, which now includes inserts from local unions.
