County and hospital officials moved closer yesterday to ending the deadlock over the fate of the Prince George's Hospitals, which has kept healthcare workers and patients in limbo for months. Dimensions Healthcare Systems  - which manages the Prince George's County hospitals - announced it planned to drop its $14 million lawsuit against Prince George's County, reported Vandana Sinha of the Washington Business Journal. Dimensions filed the lawsuit in July to keep the hospital running through June 2008. This summer, a Circuit Court judge ordered the County to pay Dimensions $2 million but County officials appealed the decision and hearings on the payment, scheduled for September 10, were postponed until December.
