Filmfest Adds Screenings

Wednesday, September 19, 2007

A free screening of “Eye Of The Storm” and a second screening of “Morristown” have just been added to the Labor FilmFest, which has already offered four free screenings this month, including Monday’s “The Great Pretenders” with director Jeremy Cohen (right in  photo below), shown here being presented with a Labor FilmFest t-shirt by FilmFest Co-Chair Mark Dudzic (left in photo). A gripping tale of how more than 10,000 workers beat shipping companies and the government, “Eye Of The Storm” – screening Thursday September 27 at noon at the AFL-CIO -- shows how longshoremen won justice on the West Coast docks. An additional screening of “Morristown” has been added at the AFL-CIO on Wednesday, September 26, sponsored by the AFL-CIO’s Office of State and Local Affiliates and the Immigrant Workers Program, which will host a short post-film discussion.
