NLRB Union Protest Cancels Anniversary Event: An event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the NLRB was cancelled last week. NLRB workers – members of the NLRB union – announced they would picket outside the event, reported James Parks on the AFL-CIO Blog. The picket was in response to the NLRB’s “refusal to bargain with the union,” reported Parks…The campaign for DC Voting Rights heats up as DC with a rally at 11A today outside the Dirsken Senate Office Building. The Senate is scheduled to vote on the voting rights bill tomorrow afternoon. “We have worked for this vote over the past four years,” says DC Vote Executive Director Illir Zherka, adding “We believe we have the votes to pass this bill in the Senate.”
