Two Days, Four Rallies

Contracts and outsourcing are the main issues of four worker actions scheduled today and tomorrow. Today, hundreds rally with INGLESIDE HEALTHCARE WORKERS at 12P to demand a fair first contract. Workers have been fighting to get a contract since they voted in their union - SEIU 1199 -- over a year ago. Also at noon today, workers - members of OPEIU Local 2 -- protest the OUTSOURCING OF WASHINGTON GAS JOBS in Springfield, VA. On Tuesday, SECURITY OFFICERS RALLY at 11A to kick off their campaign for a first contract. Another rally against the JOBS CUTS AT WASHINGTON GAS is also scheduled for Tuesday at 12P at Washington Gas' DC offices.
