Labor Music Celebrates ADA's 60th

Friday, June 22, 2007

Labor singer/songwriter Joe Jencks and the local roots-rock group, the U-Liners, take the stage tonight at 7:30P to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Americans for Democratic Action (ADA). "ADA fights for progressive values and has a great history of supporting labor issues," says activist/musician Joe Uehlein. "We're proud to help them celebrate their 60th anniversary." The ADA's national convention, which started last night in DC and runs through Sunday, includes educational panels and speeches with elected officials and policy experts, action trainings, movie screenings and discussions, along with other activities focused on progressive political change.
