Asian American Workers and the New Immigrant Rights Movement

Kent Wong, labor scholar and activist, discusses the role of Asian Americans in the new immigrant rights movement at next Tuesday's brown bag lunch discussion. Wong is the Director of the Center for Labor Research and Education at UCLA and has served as the Founding President of the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance and President of both the University and College Labor Education Association and the United Association for Labor Education. Wong is also author of several books on the US labor movement, including his current work "Sweatshop Slaves: Asian American Workers in the Garment Industry." The event starts at 11:30A.
