Nurses Offer Free Health Screening

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Get checked, get healthy.  The Registered Nurse Response Network and the Metropolitan Washington Public Health Association will offer a free health screening this Thursday, July 31st at 6:30 pm at the Dorothy Height/Benning Library at 3935 Benning Rd NE. Volunteering Registered Nurses will help DC residents to stay or get healthy with a check of their blood pressure and glucose levels. After the screening, registered nurses and the Metropolitan Washington Public Health Association will lead a discussion about health disparities in the District and exploring their root causes, hearing a patient perspective about some of the problems with health care, and discussing solutions to help make residents of the District healthier.
