bursting out all over! Tomorrow
you can hear from DC workers organizing to change their workplace and learn how
you can aid their struggles at the Low-Wage
Workers Speak Out! And on Monday,
Tell the
Heritage Foundation to Stop Blocking an Increase in the Minimum Wage as
AFL-CIO Executive Vice President Tefere Gebre leads a protest outside the
Heritage Foundation to highlight efforts to restrict the minimum wage and strip
workers’ rights. Later
on Monday, Georgetown's Kalmanovitz Initiative for
Labor and the Working Poor, Barbara Ehrenreich and Justin Rorres kick off
Living in a Precarious World: Art, Labor & the New Economic
Precarity. See Labor
Calendar for complete details on these and other upcoming
local labor events.
