Labor On The Move: Solomon Moves to DC Office of the People's Counsel

Metro Council Assistant Political Coordinator Alya Solomon has accepted a position at the DC Office of the People's Counsel as the Consumer Affairs Liaison, "where I will continue my work to protect working families by advocating for consumers of natural gas, electric and telephone services." Metro Council president Jos Williams called Solomon's political work in the District of Columbia "absolutely critical" to the Metro Council, its affiliates and allies "on the wide range of issues that we've been working on while she's been here at the Council. She's been a huge asset, a joy to work with and will continue to be part of labor's extended family in her new position, where we wish her the very best."
