Unions Hit Doors for Medicaid Expansion in VA

Volunteers from a dozen
international unions placed door hangers
throughout two different Northern
Virginia legislative districts on Saturday,
calling upon those members of the
House of Delegates to support expansion of
Medicaid to cover the 400,000
Virginians without health care. "All of us know
someone hoping and praying
they or a family member doesn't become ill or
injured," said NoVA Labor
President Dan Duncan. "These folks need our
help to become more
financially stable." Virginia's elected
officials return to Richmond on
Monday in special session to pass a budget that
includes Gov. Terry McAuliffe's
