NoVA Labor Activists to Hit Streets Saturday

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Northern Virginia labor
activists and their allies will be hitting the
streets in Manassas and Ashburn this Saturday to promote Medicaid/health care
expansion before the General Assembly returns to Richmond in special
sessionnext Monday.
“We’re just dropping door
hangers, no knocking and talking,” says NoVA Labor president Dan Duncan. Meet
at 9a Saturday at one of these sites: Ashburn:

Annandale 22003. “We will have several candidates for the 8th CD Democratic
Primary attending,” promises Duncan, along with tickets for NoVA’s annual
Tribute to Labor Dinner on Friday, May 2, at the
union-contracted McLean Hilton.
