Labor On The Move: Ana Avendano Appointed VP of Labor Participation at United Way

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Ana Avendaño has been appointed Vice President of Labor Participation for United Way Worldwide, USA by AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka. “Ana has a long career in the labor movement, most recently as my assistant for immigration and community action,” Trumka said Friday. “In an effort to further integrate AFL-CIO Community Services and United Way into the mainstream of AFL-CIO activities, Ana will regularly attend meetings at the AFL-CIO and will work hand-in-hand with the AFL-CIO Community Services staff on both a national and local level.” photo by Joe Kekeris/AFL-CIO
