Cambodian Embassy Targeted in Global Day of Action Monday Morning

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Local activists will rally outside the Cambodian Embassy at 8:30a Monday morning to demand the release of 23 protesters arrested while demonstrating for a higher wage for garment workers last month. The DC demo is part of a global day of action at Cambodian embassies that will protest the “brutal government repression” at the January rallies in Cambodia that left four dead and 39 injured after Cambodian police opened fire on the demonstrators.
