Reception Tonight Celebrates Area Wins on Minimum Wage

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)The local labor community and its allies will celebrate the successful
campaigns to raise the minimum wage across the metro DC area tonight at the AFL-CIO. Top officers of the AFL-CIO will
join Metro Council president Jos Williams, elected officials, labor leaders and
community allies at the 5:30p reception. “As we look ahead to another year of
activism we want to take a moment to appreciate the tremendous effort and
