Labor On The Move: Ann Miller Moves to IBEW

Calling her “indispensable to the Federation’s political program,” AFL-CIO Political Director Michael Podhorzer recently announced the departure of Ann Miller after 14 years at the AFL-CIO. “To say that we will miss Ann at the Federation is a gross understatement,” said Podhorzer. “She has been the soul of the labor program, educating and holding candidates who come through our doors accountable to the interests of workers.  Many a candidate has arrived looking for a check and left knowing they had to earn our support, and that there was no shortcut to building strong relations with their local labor movements.” Miller, who has taken a position at the IBEW, will be with the Federation until December 20^th.
