Organizing Institute To Hold 3-Day Training for Young Union Members

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)The AFL-CIO Organizing Institute will be holding a “3-Day Training for Young Union Members” in Washington, DC on December 6 - 8.  Participants will learn one-on-one communication skills, identifying and developing workplace leaders and the basic elements of an internal and external organizing campaign.  This training will focus on providing young union member activists the tools they need to assist in strengthening their already existing locals as well as arming them with tools should the union look to organize new workers in an industry. The training will begin Friday, December 6th at 10:00am and will end Sunday, December 8th at 12:00 noon. Registration for the training may be completed on the OI website; deadline to register is Monday, December 2.
