Virginia for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and House of
Delegates, “We need your help now to elect the labor-endorsed candidates for
these
positions” says NoVA President Dan Duncan. The NoVA Saturday canvass continues
tomorrow, starting at 9a.

Festival: Want free tickets for this weekend’s
Green Festival? Help out at DC Jobs with Justice’s table there and
they’ll
give you free tickets to the nation’s largest environmental consumer event,
featuring leaders and speakers in the social justice and environmental
community, hundreds of eco-friendly businesses, and workshops designed to
empower and educate on living an eco-friendly life. JWJ is tabling there –
and
at the H Street Festival -- to get the word out about the District

Earned Sick and Safe Leave Act of 2013, which was just introduced this week:

kicking off their Raise Maryland campaign for a higher minimum wage this
