Friday, January 11, 2013
(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Union generosity was on display once again during the recent holiday season.
“Whether it was collecting food, adopting families, or sending in gift cards
and money for needy area families at holiday time, the local labor community
stepped up,” says Community Services Agency (CSA) Executive Director Kathleen
McKirchy. “Special thanks from CSA and the 40 area families we were able to
assist to the unions and individuals who contributed. Thanks to all for their
extreme generosity of time, effort and valuables!” AFGE and staff, AFGE
