Labor On The Move: Solidarity Center's Bader-Blau Has Daughter; DC JWJ's Forester Goes National

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Solidarity Center Executive Director Shawna Bader-Blau gave birth to a baby girl
September 19, reports Deputy Executive Director Kate Doherty. “Both mother and
baby are well,” Doherty adds. Bader-Blau will be out on parental leave through
January19, 2013; contact Doherty at kdoherty@solidaritycenter.org if
you have Solidarity Center-related business in the meantime. The Solidarity
Center is a non-profit organization set up by the AFL-CIO to assist workers
around the world who are struggling to build democratic and independent trade
unions. DC Jobs with Justice organizer Dyana Forester is moving to the national
JWJ, taking a position as Organizer-Southern Region, “Dyana has made great
contributions to DC Jobs with Justice and our coalition,” said DC JWJ
Executive Director Nikki Daruwala. “We wish her well and look forward to
future collaborations.” Forester’s last day at DC JwJ is October 12th; watch
