(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)With plenty of people looking for work, the Community Services Agency is calling
on community members to spread the word about the upcoming Building Futures
pre-apprenticeship construction program, which is now accepting applications for
low-income individuals who want to work in construction. The competitive
six-week program offers both hands-on and classroom training, and numerous
certifications (OSHA, CPR, LEED 101, and more) to help students succeed in the
construction field and enter union apprenticeship programs. Click
