Wednesday: "Stop Impoverishing VA Workers"
Rally
Employees at the Veterans Health Administration –
disproportionately veterans, women, and minorities – are, like public sector
workers across the country, suffering arbitrary downgrades. Workers, represented
by AFGE, will be joined by other union members and community allies for a rally
in downtown DC to demand an end to the attacks on these federal employees. “As
public employees stand up for themselves, they also stand up for the public they
serve,” said AFL-CIO President Richard Tumka. “Let’s stand with
them!”
Saturday: Washington Worker's Walking Tour, DC JwJ
Benefit
Learn labor’s often-untold story of protest and
resistance in the downtown DC walking tour, which will raise money for DC Jobs
with Justice.
