Revamped Executive PayWatch Website Focuses on (Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Verizon cut 41,100 jobs while hoarding $14 billion and paying its CEO $23.1 million. Top CEOs collected an average $12.9 million in pay last year. It would take 11,000 years for a worker to make what Apple’s CEO made in 2011. Those are just a few of the juicy nuggets on the revamped AFL-CIO Executive PayWatch site, now dubbed “CEO Pay and the 99%,” which features a whole new look, with lots of sharable infographics and powerful data. Designed to be an easily-accessible tool for activists and leaders, "CEO Pay and the 99%" contains comprehensive info on executive pay, with all of the 2011 data searchable by industry, state and by the top 100 highest-paid CEOs.
