Endorses Kenyan McDuffie in Ward 5: The Metropolitan Washington
Council’s Executive Board voted April 13 to endorse Kenyan McDuffie for the DC
Ward 5 Special Election. The seat, formerly held by Harry Thomas Jr., is up for
grabs on May 15th. “We have an opportunity to support one of our own,”
said Metro Council President Jos Williams of the former Letter Carrier’s union
member. “We know Kenyan will stand up for working families.” McDuffie says
his priorities include “representing and championing the needs of working
families who are so vital to building strong communities.” - reports by Alya Solomon
