Promises of a Bright Future

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)IBEW Local 26’s Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) is lighting the way to solidarity in Charles County, MD. At the end of last year JATC donated a photovoltaic array -- a connected series of solar panels -- to North Point High School. “The newly installed array will enable the JATC to eventually offer photovoltaic training at North Point, bringing this training closer to home for our members living in Southern Maryland” reported Local 26. “What’s more, high school students will be able to see a photovoltaic array in action and learn more about the possibilities of solar energy.” Click here to check out Local 26’s quarterly newsletter, In Charge, and click here to learn more about JATC . - photo of JATC apprentices courtesy of washdcjatc.org
