Teamsters History Tour Link Updated(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)The sign-up link for the December 15 Teamster history tour has been fixed; our apologies for the technical snafu. Teamster historian Karin Jones leads the 1-hour tour of the new historical exhibits at the Teamsters headquarters building, sponsored by DC Labor Walk. Highlights include the new lobby frieze depicting Teamsters through the years, fascinating artifacts and stories from the union’s history (like how the horses on the Teamster logo got their names). $25 per person; $40 per couple; proceeds benefit CSA’s Emergency Assistance Fund, which aids area working families in need. Each participant will also receive a copy of the 104-page “Teamsters Snapshots in Time” glossy coffee-table book of Teamster history photos, as well as a Teamster’s history DVD. Sign up now; space is limited to just 20 participants! - photo of Teamsters artifacts by Chris Garlock
