Free Noontime Screenings Kick Off 11th Annual Labor FilmFest Next Week(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Another Working Lunch screening has just been added to this year’s DC Labor FilmFest line-up. The main FilmFest runs October 14-18 and area unions and allies are getting the ball rolling next Tuesday with a series of screenings of the popular free noontime Working Lunch compilation of short films about labor. Public Citizen is the latest to schedule a screening, and, like the others, will feature a raffle for FilmFest t-shirts and free passes to the Labor FilmFest; click here for the complete line-up. If you’d like to host your own screening, you’ll need a laptop with access to the internet and a screen (or TV) for projection (a dozen folks watching around a conference table is fine!). The FilmFest will also produce a customized PDF for you to distribute to promote the screening. email streetheat@dclaborarchives.org to schedule your screening!
