Last Chance To Register For Workers' Walking Tour
Wednesday, June 8, 2011(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)
There are just a few
spaces left for Friday’s Washington
Workers’ Walking Tour; don’t miss out! Click
here now to register for the 2-hour
walking tour of downtown DC – led by Metro
Washington Council Union Cities Coordinator
Chris Garlock (at left, pointing) – featuring
revelations about labor’s often-untold story
of protest and resistance. “From the Labor
Hall of Fame to Joe Hill’s ashes, worker’s
history is around just about every corner in
our Nation’s Capital, if you know where to
look,” says Garlock. The cost is $25 per
person; all proceeds will benefit the Community
Services Agency’s Emergency Assistance Fund,
which helps area families in financial crisis.
NOTE: It's an easy
walk but wear comfortable walking shoes and
dress for the weather. - photo
