Georgetown Living Wage Win Celebrated

Georgetown students and supporters who last week won a Living Wage at the University will celebrate their historic achievement Friday with food, drink, music and more (see On The Line). “After three years of research, meetings, and organizing, Georgetown University has a comprehensive Just Employment Policy that includes a Living Wage for all campus workers!” said student Mike Wilson. Featured speakers include AFL-CIO President John Sweeney and Metro Washington Council President Jos Williams along with other community and religious leaders and workers, students, and faculty involved in the campaign.
