Printcraft Workers Sweep Bowling For Gold

With a score of 3,258, the Graphic Communications Union (GCIU) Printcraft team of Linwood Fitch, Daryl Spencer, Fatts McCrae, Henry Adams and Lee Hosgood took first place (and $100 each) in the 13th Annual “Bowling for Gold” Union Bowling Tournament held on January 30 (check out a team photo here). The event benefits the Community Services Agency’s Emergency Assistance Fund. In 2nd place with 3,129, were the “Printcraft Rat Pack”: James Bronson, Nathan Hill, James Sudberry, Warren Parks Sr and Warren Parks Jr. In 3rd, with 3,080, were “Printcraft 2”: George Blackwell, Charles Young, Ed Sullivan, Harry Andrews and Charles Peeler. Winners in the Highest Individual Score were Ron Melchor, “Printcraft 10”, 1st, with a score of 720; Ron also bowled one perfect 300! In 2nd, with 714, was Joe Rooney with the “ASASP Strykers” and Don Robey Jr., IBEW Local 26 took 3rd with 703. “Congratulations to the winners and everyone who turned out,” says CSA’s Kathleen McKirchy, “We appreciate your support of this event.
