The Earned Income Tax Credit is a special benefit for people who work full or part time, but they have to file returns to get it.  Workers with children in their homes earning less than $34,458 could receive up to $4300.  Workers with one child and earning less than $30,338 could get back $2604.  Workers with no children but who earned less than $11,490 could get up to $390. Materials are available in English and Spanish. “It's up to us to get the word to our members who may be eligible to get desperately needed money back,” says Community Services Agency Executive Director Kathy McKirchy. For more info, call the Agency at 202 857-0480 or email kmckirch@dclaborarchives.org
