MIZ Goes Local
Monday, February 7, 2005(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)
The fight for mandatory inclusionary zoning in DC continues to move
forward, and may be coming to your neighborhood soon! Supporters of MIZ have
been putting pressure on the Mayor to support the amendment through a postcard
drive that thousands have participated in. Now the campaign is doing
outreach to ANC commissioners to urge them to introduce resolutions supporting
mandatory inclusionary zoning. “If you know ANC commissioners in your
neighborhood, the Campaign for Mandatory Inclusionary Zoning needs your help!”
reports Mackenzie Baris. The Campaign is holding a strategy meeting this
Thursday, 2/10 from 12-1:30P at the Shaw/Columbia Heights Community Support
Collaborative, 1816 12th Street, NW (U Street metro on the Green Line). More
