(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)

Workers in the Prince George’s State’s Attorney’s office voted to be represented by SEIU Local 400 on January 28, reports Local 400 President Sonny Reed. “Now the hard part begins,” as the local negotiates a first contract, Reed tells UNION CITY. Topping the issues at the bargaining table will be long-standing grievances against supervisors by the newly-organized G-scale administrative aides and clerk typists.
