Bowlers Aid Families In Need
Monday, January 31, 2005(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)
Hundreds of bowlers, friends &
family braved snow and ice yesterday to raise
money for the Community Services Agency’s
Emergency Assistance Fund at the 13th Annual
Bowling for Gold Tournament. As snow fell
outside, turnout and scores were high inside
the Crofton Bowling Center, where 450 bowlers
raised more than $10,000 in pledges for the
Emergency Assistance Fund. “This is a huge
help for local families facing crises,” said
CSA Executive Director Kathleen McKirchy.
“The Emergency Fund helps us keep families in
their homes, the heat and lights on, and food
on their table. Thank you!” Look for a new
