And in a story by Kimberly Palmer in yesterday’s GOVEXEC.COM, AFSCME Council 26’s Carl Goldman says “anxiety over job security under the Bush administration” is motivating federal workers to join his union. In fact, the story goes on to say, “American Federation of Government Employees members increased by almost 3 percent, and National Treasury Employees Union membership went up by 4.5 percent, according to Labor Department records.
