MD Binding Arbitration Bill
Wednesday, April 5, 2000(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)
Prince George’s County
delegation chairman Rushern Baker tells
UNION CITY! that a House vote on HB
712 is expected “in the next day or so” and
says that “chances look very good” for
passage by the full Legislature before
adjournment next Monday. Baker calls the bill
-- which provides for binding arbitration for
Park & Planning Commission workers -- “a
step forward for making sure that workers in PG
and Montgomery County are taken care of.”
