Carter Dominates Bowling Tourney

The Printcraft team comprised of Wilbert Carter, George Blackwell, Ed Sullivan, Harry Andrews and Charles Peeler won the Highest Team Score in this year’s CSA Bowling Tournament, bowling an impressive 2972 and taking home $150 each. Team member Wilbert Carter’s 651 score won him the Individual High Score and the Highest Male Score. Anita Roberts (LIUNA) won the Highest Female Score with 601. The NALC Branch 142 team – aka “Busted” – took 2nd in the team scoring with 2,847; team members included Howard Rose, Allen English, Kevin Lee, Henry Baxter and Steven Prescott. In third place was AFGE 631’s “10 Pin Connection” with 2,790; congrats to Yvette Martin-Gross, Marc Moore, Andre Alexander, Robert Briggs and Fred Ware. Mark Meeks, IBEW 26 took Second Place in the individual score with 640, and William Jackson, Printcraft, took third with 627. The tournament was held on January 29. Bowlers have until February 17 to get their pledges in to be eligible for the prizes for the team and individual who raises the most pledges. “And since this is for the CSA’s Emergency Assistance Fund every dollar is needed,” says CSA’s Kathleen McKirchy.
