GW Faculty Union Struggle Continues

The George Washington University Coalition for Fair Labor has now collected nearly 1,000 signatures on their petition to support the Adjunct Faculty Union at GW. On Thursday, student activists and representatives from SEIU Local 500 staged a noontime rally at GW to demand that the administration recognize and negotiate with the union. The rally took place as tours by prospective students crossed through GW's Kogan Plaza, ensuring that incoming students and their parents are aware of GW's union-busting policies. Despite the support of the union by a significant portion of the GW student body -- as well as by the Student Association – student activists report that the GW Administration continues to refuse to negotiate with the Adjunct Faculty Union. Email adjunct.campaign@gmail.com for more information.
