Contract Talks Resume with ABC

Wednesday, May 30, 2007

The broadcast and cable workers union resumed contract negotiations with ABC May 21 after an eight-week recess. The contract talks – which cover 2,500 workers, including members of NABET 31 in DC -- were suspended, days before the contract’s expiration in late March, after ABC proposed changes to pension, seniority, paid meal periods, and other issues. Workers also approved a strike authorization vote on May 14, which gives the negotiating committee authorization to call for a strike. For more info, visit the NABET 31 website.
