Cohen, Weingarten & Wise Rally VA Labor Vote

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)More than 120 union members fanned out across Northern Virginia Saturday to remind labor households to vote for pro-worker candidates on Nov 5. Demonstrating the solidarity among private sector, public sector and building trades members, CWA President Larry Cohen, AFT President Randi Weingarten and Iron Workers President Walter Wise rallied the precinct walkers before labor-endorsed gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe pledged to fight in Richmond for those who toil for a living. "This was a tremendous turnout by our members who know the only poll that counts is Election Day," said NoVA Labor President Daniel Duncan.
