AFGE 17 Hosts Noontime Rally at Capitol Today

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)AFGE Local 17 -- which represents workers at the Veteran's Administration -- is organizing a rally at the U.S. Capitol today to protest the government shutdown.  The rally starts at 12 noon at the West Front of the U.S. Capitol Building and runs until 3p. "Bring any homemade signs to express to Congress your feelings about the shutdown!" urges Local 17 President Bill Preston.
