Metro Council Files Complaint in Support of Local Taxi Drivers(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Metro Washington Council President Jos Williams met with Prince George’s County taxi drivers yesterday after filing a formal complaint against Veolia affiliates Washington Shuttle, ExecuCar, and Express Transportation, which the MWC says have been violating Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Commission (WMATC) regulations while operating at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, causing an unfair competitive disadvantage to Prince George’s County licensed taxicab drivers. “All we ask is that everybody play by the rules,” said Ashenafi Duga, a Prince George’s County  licensed taxicab driver and one of the complainants. - photo by Mateos Chekol/AFL-CIO
