MoCo Council Supports Raising Minimum Wage
Friday, October 4, 2013(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)The Montgomery County Council voted 9-0 Tuesday in favor of a resolution that supports a strong minimum wage bill for Maryland, reports Jews United for Justice, which helped run a press conference about the resolution. Speakers included State Senator Jamie Raskin, Delegate Anne Kaiser, County Executive Ike Leggett, Councilmembers Valerie Ervin and Mark Elrich, and low-wage worker Wilfred Mokoko.
