Pagano's Life Celebrated Today(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Jules Pagano – who died earlier this summer -- will be remembered today at a celebration from 2-4p at CWA headquarters (501 3rd Street NW, Lobby Conference Room). Pagano's career included stints at the New York Unemployment Appeals Board, the Peace Corps, CWA's Education Director and 20 years as Executive Director for the AIL/NILICO Labor Advisory Board. "Jules served with an indomitable passion to make our world a better place," said American Income Life's Roger Smith. "Jules was one of the first and strongest supporters of the DC Labor FilmFest," said DCLFF Co-Chair Jos Williams. "He worked hand in hand with FilmFest founder Tony Mazzocchi to make our dream a reality that's still going strong as we celebrate our 13th anniversary this year. REMINDER: Avis Buchanan’s Celebration of Life Service will be held tomorrow at noon (Service for Avis Buchanan to be Held Tuesday, 9/13 UC)
