MontCo Trash Workers to Return to Work Today After Lockout Wednesday

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)When striking trash workers tried to return to work at Potomac Disposal Wednesday morning they weren't allowed back on the site and signs announced the company had no work for employees on strike. After news media reported the lockout, Potomac Disposal contacted the Laborers union, which represents the workers; the striking Potomac Disposal workers will return to work Thursday. "The union representing the workers will continue negotiating on their behalf to seek a satisfactory resolution of the ongoing contract negotiations." said MALIUNA.
