LRAA Petitions To be Delivered to Gray Today

(Metropolitan Washington Council, AFL-CIO)Living wage supporters will gather at the Wilson Building at 11a today to deliver tens of thousands of petition signatures they've collected in support of the Large Retailer Accountability Act from around the city. "More than 9 out of 10 people we have talked to have signed our petition in support of the bill," reports Respect DC Organizer Mike Wilson. "People in Ward 7 and across the city are calling on Mayor Gray to stand up to the large, out of town corporations trying to bully our city into accepting poverty wage jobs."
