NoVA Labor Precinct Walks Kick Off

Nearly two dozen union members kicked off the 2013 NoVA Labor precinct
walks on Saturday, contacting about 200 union households in Fairfax County. "All
reported very positive reactions for the labor-endorsed candidates from almost
all locations," reports NoVA President Dan Duncan. Unions represented in
preparing for or at the walk included AFT, ATU, CWA, CWA-NABET, CWA-TNG, IAFF,
IBEW, IUOE, IUPAT, IW, LIUNA, NFFE-IAM, OPEIU, SEIU, SIU and SMART. NoVA Labor
will resume walks on Saturday, Sept 7, from the Annandale office. NoVA Labor's
annual Labor Day Picnic for union members and their families will be Monday,
Sept 2, from noon to 4 pm at Veterans Park in Woodbridge. photo: Dolores
