Dressed for Successful Careers

Training Manager Dionne Travis (in white shirt) provided a front-and
back-of the house tour recently at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention
Center at National Harbor for students in the Hospitality Express 4 Success
(HE4S) program. A project of The Training Source, Prince George’s
Community College and the Community Services Agency, the HE4S program provides
industry-recognized certifications and job search and placement assistance to
low-income young people from Prince George’s County. The students, all dressed
for success, heard about the various operations that make a stay at this
Marriott property – whose workers are members of Unite Here Local 25 -- a
memorable one, as well as first-hand tips about how to break into good jobs in
the industry, retain those jobs and move up the ladder to build a successful
career.
