Some 1,200 Prince George’s County school district workers have won their first raise in four years. The members of SEIU Local 400 – custodians, auditorium techs and engineers -- approved a deal Saturday that gives them a 5% raise; 3% raise effective July 1, 2013 and another 2% beginning January 1, 2014. “This has been a long time coming,” Local 400 President Sonny Reed told Union City. “Our folks have been more than patient and we’re all pleased that we were able to reach a fair deal with the school board.”
